Rok Hrastnik is a leading Central & Eastern European online direct marketing professional and a highly experienced international internet manager.
He is currently serving as the International Internet Director at Studio Moderna, the leading European direct response TV & multi-channel retailer, managing their internet operations across 20 countries and leading a team of more than 140 internet marketing professionals throughout the region. Studio Moderna operates in markets such as Russia, Romania, Turkey, Poland, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia and others.
Rok developed the company's internet department from 2 employees to an international department of 120+ people, working across the CEE. Under his online leadership the Internet became a key sales channel in Studio Moderna, making the company one of the leading online retailers in the region.
His primary focus is internet marketing management and online marketing performance & profitability, with an emphasis on complex internet marketing processes, long-term conversion strategies and advanced testing & optimization.
Rok is also a frequent speaker at key global direct marketing events, such as ACCM (US), DMA Annual (US), MarketingSherpa's Email Summit (US), ERA Europe (EU), German Teleshopping Conference (Germany), German Direct Mail World (Germany) and others. He also does frequent workshops and stand-alone seminars.
In the US Rok is recognized as one of the leading experts on RSS marketing, having authored "Unleash the Marketing Power of RSS", critically acclaimed as "the best and most comprehensive" resource on RSS for marketers by leading US internet marketers. The book was also published in Japan in 2007.
